20% Project Week 9

Week 9:

        This week I played but I did not have my camera to film so I just played in a tournament instead. This weeks term that really made my tournament failure was the safety game. Safety is called before you take your shot  and it means that you are calling no pocket and you want to give your opponent the worst opportunity on his/her next shot. My opponents this week gave me the worst shots because I had the advantage when they have 3 balls left and I'm on the 8 ball. This caused me to go 1-2 because of ball in hand when I never made contact with the ball. Ball in hand is when you make no contact on your shot or you hit your opponent's ball. When using the safety shot you need to think about your opponent's next shot and how you can prevent him from making it.

20% Project: Week 8

Week 8:

         This weeks pool terms of the week is angled which is when the corner of the pocket prevents the player from shooting the cue ball directly at your target ball. This weekend I was playing against my dad angled kicked my butt because every time he shot the ball near mine he ended up blocking most of my shots. Once I started to get irritated I just started smacking the ball around the table which is something I do not recommend . But my progression towards my complete video is getting there because I am possibly going to film this weekend. Hopefully everything works when uploading and I do not lose any visual or audio in the film. Hopefully when I film I will not get stuck behind the "angled game" because then it will not be towards my benefit because a nice easy game would be better than wasting time worrying about how am I going to get around the "angled game".
