20% Project Week 5

Week: 5

This week while I was making my finishing touches on what will be the content in my video. While putting these finishing touches in I got an idea on how to insert some music and make it more enjoyable. In the mean time I am deciding whether or not to include audio into this video to help give more tips on how to improve skills. Now I have begun to put the material in order such as deciding what is the easiest and to the more difficult skills. When applying these skills to playing you will be able to increase your playing skills. These skills, when applied are great when in a friendly competition because you can share the information given in the video as helpful tips to increase playing potential. I plan to insure that this video will be good enough that my classmates will like it and have a complete understanding of how to apply the basics of pool. “I learned to approach racing like a game of billiards. If you bash the ball too hard, you get nowhere. As you handle the cue properly, you drive with more finesse.” – Juan Manuel Fangio. As Juan says you don't  need to apply full power to every shot but ensure that it is hit hard enough that the ball still has movement and that you have correct placement.

20% Project Week 3

Week 3:

This week for my 20% Project I worked on the basis for my video. When working on the basis of my video I will be showing how to instruct the basics of putting spin on the ball and how to hit the ball. When hitting the ball you need to put some forward or backward spin. When you want to put forward spin on it you need to hit the top of the ball. When adding backspin on the ball you want to hit the bottom of the ball enough to let me ball roll back on you. When hitting the ball you don't want to supply all your power to each hit, you want to use half power to get the best game out of it. When placing the ball you need to apply the correct amount of power and spin to the ball. When you try to run the table you need to focus on the harder shots and not to the easy shots. When working on this you need to think about placement on the ball instead of making the shot.

20% Project Week 2

Week 2:

This week for my 20% Project I worked on putting the specifics of what would be in my video to help people learn how to play. The basis of my video will be the fundamentals of pool playing. When I start to film this video, my goal is to show how to hold the pool cue, where to hit the ball, how to put movement on the cue ball, and how to place the ball. When working on the basis of this video, it will take the persistence to get the footage that I need. It will take a few visits to get the footage I need to complete this video. Once I complete the video I will make a sequel video for the people that have viewed it. When it is completed I will go back and add audio to give tips. When I complete collecting my footage I will post it on Youtube so the world can see.
