20% Project Week 7

Week 7:

This week for my 20% Project I wanted to go and play pool. I have decided to start making a word of the week every blog post that I do that is relative to pool. This week's word is BALANCE POINT: balance point is defined as the point on a cue at which it would remain level if held by a single support, usually about 18" from the butt end of the cue.  I was completely busy this weekend from going to my dad's house and my brother's birthday on Monday. So instead of playing pool I instructed some of my friends over XBOX how to play pool and they said themselves that i'm a great verbal teacher. So when I am filming next week I find a way to upload it and share it with my class to show how much progress I have made. So in this video I will include how to break when starting the game and make sure you have your balance point down so that when you go to apply some power you don't miss and have the ball fly off the table and almost hit somebody. Trust me its almost happened 5-10 times.

20% Project Week 6

Week 6:

Well I took an extra week off to tape my video and everything went wrong. I thought I hit record and I positioned the camera perfectly and for 10 minutes I was talking and giving tips. When I went back to look at the footage I hit play and guess what happens. I wasted my time "recording and talking" for nothing because my time had run out at my table. So I was kind of disappointed of what happened so I will go back in a few weeks to redo my video and hope to get the video and extra audio added. So I was pretty disappointed at what happened so due to my disappointment I'll add extra tips and maybe even some secrets that I have to progress your skills. My secret has enabled myself to play in multiple tournaments and I have been able to beat tough opponents because you need to play defense. If there is no shot don't just hit it hoping to make it but block their shots so it makes it harder on them.
